The quality of our stairs, staircases and stair parts are just as important to us as they are to you.

Rest assured that once we have discussed your staircase requirements, we will constantly be available and on hand, should you have any questions to ask. The quality and value of our work will be second to none.

When selecting the material for your new staircase, we always select the very best quality wood, to ensure that the stairs have a long life span and will withstand wear and tear over the years to come

Width - At the moment, there are no restrictions with how narrow you can go with a staircase, but the width of a standard staircase is about 860mm and we wouldn't recommend a width of less than 600mm - even for access to a single room.

Headroom - You would usually need a minimum of 2000mm of clear headroom above the pitch line of the stairs, so do take care when you're planning on where to put your staircase. Especially when you're going into your loft. Make sure your opening is big enough. Don't always rely on your designer drawings, sort your stairs out while it is still possible to alter and make changes, otherwise it could result in more time and money used to change unwanted results later on.

Corners - When it comes to corners you have a number of options. The simplest option is a 90º quarter turn landing, for this you would only need to allow the width of the staircase alone. The next option is a 3º tread winder, for this, you will need to allow approximately 900 x 900mm in the corner, all depending on the width of your staircase. Another option is a 4º tread winder, for this you need to allow approximately 1000 x 1000mm, again, depending on your stairs width.
